Photo Manipulation Concept – Dreamzone Tambaram and Velacherry

DreamZone school of creative studies Tambaram announced its winners for  Photo Manipulation contest yesterday (18/06/2014). The center conducted a competition on Photo manipulation with the theme of child labor for an awareness , in the interest of the general public. A competition on the same was held on 14th June, 2014 and the result was announced yesterday. Students were instructed to design  using Photoshop.  The students participated with much interest and came out with nice designs.


Winners were selected by the experts at Dreamzone. The selection was based on number of factors  1. usage of layer concept, 2. efficient usage of the tools, 3. design work flow process, 4. Execution of concept and color combinations . Totally 21 students participated in the competition from the center from which two were selected as winners and two as runners. Winner’s own a gift voucher of Rs. 750 each from Titan and Runners up  got Titan Voucher of Rs. 500.

Winners of this competition are Navani siddheswari and Ranjith, where as Lakshmi Priya and Thriumavalavan stand as a runner up among others. Following are the pictures that were adjudged to be 1st & 2nd positions..

Navani siddheswari conceptualized an image by splitting it into two phases of a child’s life. Where one showed the sorrowful life of child as a labor and another is a dream of a child as a student. This concept fetched him the reward.

Though various Governments amended law to eradicate child labor, it is still practiced in many states by individuals and commercial establishments. Not only child labor, poverty also makes children begging.  Ranjith portrayed the picture of the difficulties faced by the majority of the Children.

Lakshmi Priya made collage of children working. Using many layers and good color combination drew her the place in the winners list.

Thirumavalavan displayed a neat design to stop child labor. Clear concept portrayed well in his design with proper posture.

This competition is conducted under the stream of graphic design to engage students in active learning. DreamZone Tambaram believes that competition like this will betterment the students learning.
